Thinkpad T22 - trying to connect to DSL broadband

#1 Post by cyberfilmmaker » Sat Nov 19, 2005 3:40 pm

Hi ,

I am connecting my ThinkPad T22 [WIN XP PRO SP2/390 MB RAM]
to internet [DSL 2MBS].
I am using a USB modem:
DSL SAGEM FAST 800-840 [powered by the usb cable].

Somehow it gets disconnected every couple of minutes.
I do not have this problem when I connect my desktop
using the same modem and internet DSL connection.

Is this a ThinkPad T22 issue?

Many thanks
CF

No. It is possible that the T22 has a problem although it isn't a common issue or anything..

My question is, how do you reconnect?

Thinkpad T22 DSL connection problems

#3 Post by cyberfilmmaker » Sun Nov 20, 2005 1:32 pm

Hi AbsoluteRaleigh,

I simply reconnect using my IP software. I have to do it many times [clicking] and with a bit of luck my T22 will connect to the Internet.

It will stay connected to the internet for up to 30 min before I get disconnected.

I wonder if it is the USB connection or the high data bandwidth.

Many thanks,
CF
