t23 4400mAh (vs t30 battery)

#1 Post by blobo » Wed Nov 23, 2005 2:18 pm

Hi!
I'm trying to find the best possible (cheap ;-)) battery for my t23. I found out that there are many replacement batteries for sale on ebay. For example this one is for t2x series and it has the same capacity as the T30 battery (4400). There are also some that are 4200mAh

Does the original t30 battery weight about the same as the original t23 battery? Are replacement batteries normally heavier? if i remember correctly, i think i saw somehwere that those t23 CMP batteries weight about 400 grams (original 300g). However, it seems to be hard to find original t30 batteries from ebay, too. most are replacements (in $40-60 range, 4400 or 4000)

So, what would you suggest? does it make any difference if i get a t23 or t30 replacement 4400mAh battery? Same thing, just in a slightly different body?

Edit: I hope you understand the message, i'm not a native English speaker :)

Edit2: Most t30 replacements seem to weight 300g, so if the CMP t23 battery really is 400g, t30 would be a better option, i guess.

As for capacity of your non-IBM/Lenovo branded batteries, I'd think twice about using them, as it most likely would void any warranties.

FWIW, I run a T30 OEM battery in my T23 and it runs great.
