ThinkPad T21 2647-8AG keeps shutting down.

hi, im new here and would to ask if someone could help me.
i have a thinkpad t21 for just over 6 months great laptop but it powers up for about 30 mins then just shuts itself down. I have tried a different battery, no luck there, even plugged into the mains does the same thing.
Ive took it to a computer shop and the person there just told me to throw it in the bin if it keeps shutting down and not starting up again which i dont want to do.
Any help would be very appreciated if anyone knows of a remedy.

You might be having heat issues.

hi many thanx for the reply, i will see if it is a heat problem that might be causing it and i will download the software mentioned in the other post.
