#1 Post by thegreatfixer » Thu Dec 08, 2005 6:37 pm

Hi all i am a very happy owner of a IBM 600x i sold my first one and bought another one

but now i just bought a T22 off ebay with only 128mb ram and i would like to get 2-4 256 chips for this lappy i will put the 128 in my 600x and then have about 448mb ram in that.
and i will probably buy another IBM T2.. lappy as there are the best IMHO so i am looking for a several 256 chips for them i think the 600X and the T2.. use the same memory

the chis model # that work for these lappys are (correct me is i am wrong)

IBM # 33l3070/33l3069
and M464S3323CN0-L1L

in the past i paid about $40 for them and now looking to get 2-4 for less any ideas

thank you

High density (8 components, 4 on each side), is a No-No for T20, T21 and T22. The one they listed as compatible is $59, a little on the hig side..

The $22 sticks are 16x16.
it is the same type of RAM used in this system and may be compatible. Check with the seller before buying.

They might be 16X16, but even the site says: 256MB PC100 SO DIMM 16X16 BUILD HIGH DENSITY

I wouldn't chance it. THe cheapest I have seen on eBay has been $40 shipped, and they have been few and far between.

That's why it says. . .
Check with the seller before buying.
Seems worth a free phone call so as to not "chance it."

All the major main memory makers and sellers, not just Crucial anymore, have a 'configurator'. Just use it and you will get (Viking, Kingston, PNY, etc) the precise module or part number for your laptop. They even provide links to a few resellers.

Crucial twice set me up with memory that does not work in my daughter's Compaq Presario 1200. I gave up for a year, until I discovered the major brands have configurators now. PNY gave me their manufacturer's number and five reseller links. I received it last week & it works. My daughter is pleased as peach with her five year old PIII Compaq's new speed.
