30-day guarantee on IBMs?

#1 Post by Teerex » Sun Dec 11, 2005 3:05 pm

I just bought a z60t.

I'm really not too satisfied with the screen which is too smalle for me (my own bad - I know!) and the keyboard is to clicky.

I've heard IBM has a 30-day satisfaction guarantee - do any of you know about that?

Thanks

Rex

Yes. If you read through this forum you will see that quite a few people have returned their new Thinkpad for one reason or another, within the first 30 days, with almost no problems.

I did do a search on this forum and couldn't come up with the answer.

Today, I called Lenovo and they told me that it's up to the local dealer not IBM/Lenovo

That is ofcourse the answer I was hoping not to hear.

I guess I should have asked this the first time around....Where did you buy the Z60T?

If you purchased it from somewhere like Office Depot, then it would be up to them, not Lenovo. Whereas, those that have purcahsed from Lenovo directly, the 30 day return is there.

I'm afraid you're right. I talked to Lenovo today.

I bought mine in Denmark, Scandinavia where you can't buy direct online ... guess I better get used to my z60t.

Are you still there in Denmark? If so, you might be able to return it through the business, who in turn might be able to return it for a credit.

Yup, I'm still in Denmark. The dealer won't take it back, unfortunately - but I don't blame them since they can't get a refund from Lenovo.

The computer isn't bad - but it just isn't the build I had expected from working on the T series for years.
