T-21 and standby mode

After coming out of standby mode, (like re-opening the display lid) my PS/2 mouse disappears and I have to re-boot to get the mouse back. I have installed the latest bios and all softtware and windoze updates from Lenovo's Softtware Installer.
Any suggestions?
