a22m monitor differences between pxx and sxx

#1 Post by CoffeeJedi » Thu Dec 15, 2005 9:27 am

I had an a22m 2628-PTU, the power system went bad, (couldn't charge the battery anymore, couldn't connect to AC) so i bought a new undercarriage from ebay ($60). this one turned out to be a 2628-STU. I transferred all the components over and swapped the LCD, but nothing appears on the screen. I can boot to an external monitor and the "Displays" tab on the ATI control panel reports "not connected" for the LCD panel.

Is a PTU monitor incompatible with an STU motherboard?

As i understand it, the PTU is an IBM while the SUT is a Lenovo, but i could be wrong. Anyone have any insight?
Thanks!

edit: ok, so the pxx had xga screens, and the sxx use sxga screens. different inverter cables? would that do it?
