Z60t Fan always running?

#1 Post by dmylrea » Wed Dec 28, 2005 12:59 pm

Z60t (model 2511FEU) and the fan is continuously running regardless of whether i'm on AC or battery, performance level (max battery, etc).

It seems i'd get better battery life if the fan wasn't always running.

How hot can the unit get when the CPU is crawling along at 366mhz (throttled down speed on "max battery life" setting)?

Other than this, so far, so good.

Just an FYI: the CPU never runs below 800MHz. The Windows system control panel mis-reports CPU clock in these cases.

Have you checked your temperatures?
