A31P Display

#1 Post by tomjeffus » Sat Jan 07, 2006 4:54 pm

I have a A31P 2653-HU6: P4-M 1.7GHz (512KB), 256MB RAM, 60.0GB HDD, 15.0 UXGA(1600x1200) TFT LCD, 8x4x24x/8x CD-RW/DVD, 802.11b(MPCI), Modem(MPCI), Ethernet(CDC), Bluetooth(CDC), IEEE 1394, Secure Chip(TCPA), TV out, Li-Ion battery, Win2000

I loaned it to a friend to us in a presentation and he connected to video Projector. Now the LCD is blank. You can just faintly make out the screen in a very dark room. I can connect to a external display and all is well.

Any suggestion? Other than the display the machine works great. I had not had any problems before loaning it out. The screen was great.

Thanks for any suggestion

Until I read where you can faintly see the screen I thought all you needed to do was use the FN/F7 key combination to switch screen modes. It won't hurt to try that but it sounds more like the inverter went kaput or a fuse on the mobo that feeds the inverter blew.

I know. that is why I put that in there. What do you mean a fuse on the mother board? where is located and can it be changed. I ordered a inverter card and new cable today

Thanks your help
