getting my Z60M today...

hi everyone..
i am getting my z60M today... cant wait.. bit paranoid after waiting for it for so long.
is there anything you computer wizards advise me to do /...
i mean ... what would you do if you recieved your Z60M for the first time.. any thing specific to make it work better.. any tips..

1. Go buy some quality CD's and make a set of the Product Recovery Discs, as well as a Rescue Media Disc. Look in Start > All Programs > ThinkVantage > Create Recovery Media. Note that the software will only let you make only one copy of the Product Recovery Discs.

2. Go to Windows Update and get all the latest Windows security updates.

3. Update your antivirus software. I believe you get Norton Antivirus with your new ThinkPad, but I am not sure.

4. Download or buy a good software firewall such as ZoneAlarm, Kerio, or another. If you decide to buy retail from a store, you might make this the second step instead of the fourth.

5. Consider downloading an alternate browser such as Firefox or Opera. Internet Explorer is often a target of virus, trojan, worm, and spyware writers.

6. Enjoy.

7. You get a trial version of Symantec Firewall, i would not recomend altering its settings because it can easily screw up your conection

9. Install Microsoft Office
