Hi all, Just upgraded my laptop (A21p) from Win98se to XP Pro (thanks again for those who responded to my earlier post), at any rate,
Everything went fine (*whew*).
The one noticable thing so far is that Video playback (MPEG, DivX, AVI, etc.) on either Quicktime or Win Media Player is seriously sloooow... with considerable jerky framrates at larger sizes ... thing is I didn't experience such problems on the OEM O/S, Win98SE.
Is there anyway specifics ways to remedy this? Increase Swap files? (not sure how to do this, though I've read about it), RAM utilization? Other graphic adjustments?
The specs on my laptop: 512MB RAM (maximum unfortunately) 855 (w/step-up) Intel P-III 80 GB harddrive
Any help would be grateful.
Thanks
Video Playback is Sloooooooooooowwww (A21p upgrade to XP)
