Hi,
I am trying to upgrade the ram in my Z60m to 2GB, but I'm not sure how you get the trackpad off. According to the instructions you just remove 4 screws on the base and it lifts off, I have done this and it is not loose, so I assume it is clipped on somewhere? I don't want to force it in the wrong place and break the plastic, so if someone has done this before and can help please let me know which part of the trackpad levers off first and in which direction - it is not as simple as the instructions included in the notebook.
z60m ram change - howto remove trackpad?
Hi,
the palm rest has one clip each on the left and right sides close to the front. After you've removed the four screws, the front portion of the palm rest (around the three buttons for the trackpoint) should be loose. That's where I lifted it up and worked my way to one side until the clip there disengaged. Same thing for the other side. May require some wiggling but not a lot of force. Then remove the palm rest by sliding it back.

When i was taking ym off it was really tight too, but just move it around and pull on it. It will come off, it really would take a lot to snap it since i could bend mine pretty far. If your really worried about this, im sure you can call them up and see if they send you repalcement in case you brake it just for your confidence,
