ThinkPad G40 bad display

#1 Post by jdvv » Wed Jan 25, 2006 3:44 pm

Hi:

I have a G40 from a customer, the problem is that the LCD dont display anything but when i connect a external monitor it works ok. I thought that the problem could be the inverter so i purchased the inverter but it dont work either. How i can know what is the problem. Any help would be appreciated.

There are some T2X Series Thinkpads that have encountered this issue; it may be either a fuse on the Mobo or the Mobo itself is shot.

There were a few threads for it here too; I think they are still active. :)

I met someone who looks a lot like you.
She does the things you do.
But she is an IBM.
