I have a thinkpad R31 which has been working fine for many years until recently where I encountered the following problems:-
1) AC Adapter plugged in with battery removed cannot boot-up. Have checked AC adapter with multimeter works fine.
2) AC Adapter with battery in will boot up and run a little while with beeping sound coming on and the notebook simply just go blank and shutdown.
I can figure out what the problems is definitely not software, not AC adaptor and not battery.
Please help
Thanks

IBM Thinkpad
Re: Help - Cannot charge thinkpad
Change your AC adapter and battery. Maybe motherboard problem. Phone IBM and ask them why?tiger1 wrote:I have a thinkpad R31 which has been working fine for many years until recently where I encountered the following problems:-
