Cardbus slots available when A31 in Port Rep II?

I posted this in "General", but perhaps this will be better here...

Are the cardbus slots hidden from view, or still reachable, when my Thinkpad (A31) is plugged into the Port Rep II? I'd assume IBM wouldn't create something that would hide the slots.
