LCD Compatability

#1 Post by Brillig » Fri Feb 10, 2006 11:08 pm

Hi.

I have an R31 2656MU0 with a tiring display. It goes purpley and lines (like the resolution goes from 32 to 16 bits) go across the screen. I tap the display a couple of times, and it goes back to normal for a while. I have a T22 with the same size screen that is pristine. Is there a diagram or how to article on how to swap the displays out provided they are in fact compatible? I like this old laptop and don't want to replace it for a long, long time.
Thanks in advance for any pointers.

Brillig.

If the screens are indeed compatible the hardware maintenance manuals will tell you how to take apart the laptops. They can be found at http://www-307.ibm.com/pc/support/site. ... yle=lenovo
