Just wondering... the current T60s are a bit pricy... does anyone know if any R series alternatives are in the works?

Most likely. But where I live, the T60 pricing was just announced (available by early next month), and the T60 is actually cheaper than the T43.

Other lesser brands like Acer have already replaced their entire line with the Core Duo's, at the same price point as before.
