mouse too sensitive

#1 Post by pschoggens » Fri Feb 24, 2006 1:16 am

Hi again,

Is there a way to adjust the sensitivity of the mouse or do I just have a learning curve I need to get over?

When I go Start/then scrol up the popup with the pointer sometimes things get selected just because I hovered over them for 1/2 a second.

No so much a problem now, but could be a problem if left near the delete, restore, or buy now radio button.

Looking forward to your response

There should be an UltraNav driver and setting page for it; under the ThinkVantage suite if I am not mistaken. :)

Is this on a Z60?

if you have a few minutes, Please Please post your impressions of the T60, especially the fan noise, keyboard, battery life, heat, etc.

also, have you done a parts lookup? I'm curious to know which lcd panel and keyboard your machines has:

I really have not used it much due to the cramming for the entrance exam comming up this Monday. :(

But I wanted to line my ducks up in a row with a few answered question, as to which router to use with my cable, how to get the mouse pad to calm down a bit, and burn a back up of the OS while the HD was still clean.

I did start a Word Doc. and immediately missed the Spell Check feature, and do not recall seeing an A-Z Sort option either, so I felt a little Skrewed. Suppose that is some upgrade I have to buy.

Was kind of unsure if I want to use ZoneAlarm for Firewall and AVG for AV or stick with the brand that came on it. The above mentioned are to only two programs that really work well with my ME os. Most all others cause conflicts.

It appears to be well made, does not get very hot sitting in my lap and have not noted any excessive fan noise...but this is my first notebook and really can not offer any comparison.

The battery seems to last about one hour, which draws a vaccume like a Kirby.

When I find a good deal on memory...I will upgrade. Do not feel the need to burn DVDs, buy the time I get good at it, it will no longer be do-able.

As far as looking under the hood....thanks for the link....and here is what came up.

How is this a T60 if it has a Celeron processor?

And 1 hour of battery life? That doesn't seem right.

Also, that FRU for the LCD looks like it's for a Z60t. Are you sure you don't have a Z60t?:D

Now that my exam is over, I have freed up some time to look at this last ebay purchase and to answer my own question as to which is better.

For anyone interested on a link to a review click this...

there is even another link on that page that gives details understood by people much smarter than me. :)
