cd drive (itself) stuck in drive bay

#1 Post by BeemerBiker » Sun Feb 26, 2006 6:21 pm

For some reason, I cannot remove my cd drive on one of my A20Ms.
There is a small release under the drive and normally I slide it to cause the pull tab to release.

I cannot slide it, seems to be stuck. Is there some lock somewhere?
I dont have a manual handy, but I dont recall any mechanism to prevent the drive from being removed.

On the underside of your computer, is there a coinscrew anywhere near the drive bay?

Thanks, there was a small screw close to the release that needed to be removed. Since this worked before I upgraded the celeron 500 to pentium 700 then the screw I removed must have belonged somewhere else. That makes me feel better since I always have screws left over and I was wondering how I got everything back when I reassembled it.
