How bright should my z60m screen be??

I have a z60m 2529 E9U. Compared to my wife's Compaq Presario V2000z(widescreen) my z60m screen is not so *bright*. What brightness setting should I use? The brightness is OK on level 7....but w/ battery only I have it on level 4, and that is what is a bit dim to me.

Do you ATI video or integrated graphics? At first, I thought my z60m high res LCD was too bright, washing out the colors. It turns out, in addition to the laptop's LCD brightest settings, you can also set the ATI settings to adjust the brightest and colors (red, blue, green).
