R50p networking problems

#1 Post by coyotedelaire » Tue Mar 14, 2006 3:23 am

Hi, i've just got an r50p, and i have a general networking problems. First i tried to connect to the internet directly through my cable modem via ethernet and failed, it never gets an ip from dhcp. Then i tried it under linux with the same results. Then i made a lil lan with fixed ips and pinged the computers with positive results (to and from my thinkpad). Then i tried to connect it wirelessly at work with the same results. Then i connected it to my cable modem via USB, and it was no diferent than before. It seems like it just cant receive any data at all. Has this happened to anyone?

Its kind of weird that even through the usb connection it didnt get and address or received any data.

Any help will be really appreciated.

Help didn't come until last... sadly.

I'm sorry that this is the case.

1) try IBM Access Connections & remake all accounts.

2) disable & enable networking & wireless hardware & utilities on hardware manager in My Computer properties.

you should look at the other thread mentioning the similar situation.
