Verizon WWAN radio OFF at startup on z60t?

#1 Post by dmylrea » Wed Mar 15, 2006 10:57 pm

I've looked high and low, in the BIOS, power schemes, control panel, you-name-it...when my z60t starts up (battery or AC), the Verizon EVDO adapter powers up. On AC I don't mind, but on battery it really eats it up! Of course, I can do the FN+F5 and say RADIO OFF, but who wants to do that EVERYTIME? It does not remember the state of the radio power between startups.

BTW, the 802.11abg adapter does the same thing, but it's the EVDO adapter that really eats away at the battery.

Any ideas?

(FYI, if I disable the WWAN in the BIOS, there VZAccess cannot find an adapter nor turn one on).

Thanks!
