Updating video driver reports 256mb memory!!

I used the IBM Software Installer to update the video drivers on my R52. The video card in this machine is an ATI Mobility Radeon X300 wth 64mb video RAM, but System Information now reports that the video adapter had 256mb RAM! Any ideas on what's going on?
