One Final Piece to the Puzzle!

#1 Post by A31guy » Fri Mar 24, 2006 4:58 am

Okay, I took apart my A31 last night for the hundredth time it seems and I had one part left over after completion. Although I have no idea where this part goes and can't remember taking it off of anything else inside the laptop.

The part number is (JAPAN 26P9600)
It's like a small aluminum piece with a single hole and two slits in it probably about 1 and 1/4 inch in length and 1/4 inch in width.

If anyone knows where this part goes, and could let me know would really appreciate it.

Thanks

I would recommend reading through the HMM again, step by step and see if you see where this piece is supposed to go. I googled the part number and came up empty.

That sounds a lot like one of the insert/placeholders that goes in the upper left and right hand corners of the LCD case. They are to be removed when one installs the wireless antennas for an A31.

Does it look like this?

Yes,
That is exactly what it looks like.
