Screen pixel question

It seems as if pixels periodically either go light or dark. After a couple of shut-downs/reboots, they seem to go away, only to be replaced with a different one, sometimes a bit later.
What is going on here?

I'm having the same problem. I've even created a PowerPoint presentation that I can flip through quickly to test for dead pixels. On average everything looks fine, but occationally I find a temporarily "dead" pixel.

What screen do you have? I have the MaxBright screen, and I've been wondering if this is a problem specific to this screen.

I actually noticed this on the forum just after posting, but I haven't had an opportunity to test the "fix" to see if this is the case. If this is just a bug with the software, that's great (it means my precious, expensive, new laptop doesn't have a flaw).

I'll post again when the problem pops up again and I can see if it matches the description of the Ultranav Bug.

Either the UltraNav "Bug" or it is a stuck pixel if it is white/grey/black in color.

Turns out you were correct... finally had the opportunity to test it, and determined it was indeed the UltraNav Bug.
