Battery that works with recent Embedded Controller updates?

Anyone find a reliable source of batteries that work with recent A30 Embedded Controller Program versions? (As has been documented elsewhere, the last couple updates to the ECP cause some/all generic batteries to not function in some models.)

I see there are guys on eBay that claim their batteries are 100% compatible, but I am dubious. Obviously a PITA to send it back if it proves only somewhat compatible.

This has become critical for me since deep-cycling a Li-Ion battery to recondition it only makes it worse. Don't ask me how I know...
