(nearly) dead screen on R32
(nearly) dead screen on R32
Hi,
I have an R32 with a strange problem. The screen is nearly dead in the sense that it is extremely, extremely dim to the point where you can barely see anything. This happened suddenly.
Is this necessarily a hardware problem? Could I have accidently done something to the computer's settings to create this problem?
Any help would be appreciated greatly.
Thanks,
rhz

Sounds like the LCD backlight died. Definatly a hardware problem.

There was no tint prior to the problem
I booted up the computer once and noticed this problem. I then shut it down manually (pressing the power button) and rebooted. The problem went away. Upon next (and all subsequent) power ups, the screen was very, very dim--completely unusable.
You should check the cables first. Unplug and reconnect them. If that doesn't help, start with the inverter card. Buy from a source, that offers a refund if you send it back (even with a restocking fee).
