A22 will not boot.....

#1 Post by zook68 » Sat Apr 29, 2006 11:10 am

I have a A22, the LCD was going or the inverter. I was up and running waiting for my inverter to arrive. The screen was all ready to comeout as well, since I had to hit or jiggle it. It was acting up, i hit it and the LCD fell off and dropped on the floor while running in XP. Now the thing will not boot. I tried replacing inverter, cable and LCD no go. It powers up and shuts down immediatlley. If I remove the RAM it stays on and beeps, and power botton will work. If I leave it in botton works once then have to unplug/remove battery to try again.Even replaced the processor and RAM, no go. Taken out wan card etc..Any ideas?
Thanks
Dave

All my research tells me it's the system board. Guess I will try to aquire one since I just put in a 7200rpm drive and ram so I'm not going to ditch it. Bought new in 2001, no problem untill now

Did you check to make sure that the fan was still plugged in?
