FrankenPad A22m?

#1 Post by schen » Wed May 03, 2006 2:18 pm

Now that my "parts" A22m has arrived, I'm in the process of trying to decipher what can be done to it, so any thoughts would be gratefully considered. I actually know a little more about the internal working of the T Series than the A series so I'll try to go through what I think I know and hopefully, you guys will correct my errors and fill in any important gaps:

* A20 - 22 should be basically interchangeable in hardware.
* Series topped out with the 1Ghz PIII running on 100mhz bus.
* RAM basically tops out at 512Mb (2 low density PC100 modules).
* A variety of LCDs ranging from 12.1" to 15", SVGA to UXGA. Abilty to drive various LCDs dependent on MB and variation on cables.
* Basically any current PATA HDDs that will physically fit.
* Same KB as the T Series.
* Some A22 models had wireless built-in.

Hopefully, that's the essentials of it before I get started taking this thing apart and looking for parts. It has a password locked MB and busted screen so I've got my work cut out for me. If anybody has some A2x parts they want to get rid of let me know. :D
