CD-R burning question

#1 Post by o'bluetouring » Thu May 11, 2006 2:58 am

I'm very frustrated over the CD-Writer with my Z60t: I tried both Windows' native data burning capability (drag and drop into D-Drive) and using the bundled Sonic software, and neither method will produce a readable MP3 data CD that can be used in my car's MP3 changer. The CD produced by my old VAIO and my gf's Dell works perfectly in my car, but not the ones made with my ThinkPad. Anyone know the possible problem?

Another thing I'm having trouble with is the Sonic Data Software: about more than half of the time I couldn't add anything to the CD using the software. If I drag/drop it, nothing is added; and if I use "ADD" button, I can select the files I want to add, and once I click "ADD", nothing happens either.

Set the recording speed to a lower level. Sometimes CD's that are burned at too fast a rate, cannot be read in some CD readers. Make sure you are using quality CD media. Since I have the link open right now for another post I just made, I'll give it to you as well.

Regarding your problem with the Sonic Software, I don't have any advice other than to say that Nero is much better burning software.

:::

At Sonic, select "Data" type, &
drag MP3 to the list, then burn, close the CDr.

Hope this help....!
