Problems installing software on ThinkPad Z60t

#1 Post by pettersen » Sun May 14, 2006 1:57 pm

Hi!

I just received my new ThinkPad Z60t laptop. But i have some serious problems installing software like Office and Adobe Acrobat Reader. In the middle of the installation process it stops without any warning or error message. Anyone that can help me out here??

Since you have just start, strongly consider doing a total recovery. Nothing much lost at this point, so a recovery will take you back to the beginning. Then attempt to install Office. If that works, carry on. If that does not work (as you are describing here), report it to IBM and ask to return the machine. Office is a reliable install on a ThinkPad. .. JD Hurst

Check your on-line manual. On my T43, press F11 at startup and it will initiate a recovery. There may be a blue Access IBM button. Press it on startup and that should get you to the recovery screen. Probably best to read the on-line manual first. ... JD Hurst
