Hopefully the news is accurate -- I've been looking into getting a Z series but I wanted to wait to see if the models with Core Duo were any good.

Isn't that the webcam just right of the ThinkLight? On the Z61t it looks to be left of the ThinkLight...

now lest see
other than the amazing 8 hours bat (compared to 6 hour with all setting off on the z60m)
what do we really have here
core duo is going to be out in august when the memrom is out
x1400 not really the best you can get with the x1900 or the 7800gtx
1650x1080 when theres 1900x1200
xp when vista is out the door

now lets add thier 2 month delay from buying to delivery, it will come that you get an 'old' product in two months from now.

they will be wiser to skip this one completely and just release something cool when memrom\vista will launch

did i mention dx10 compatible gfx cards?
Q6600 2G Crucial Ballistix Tracer 1066
Desktop: P4 3.4Mhz; 2G Crucial Ballistix 667Mhz 3-3-3-8; 2x Raptor Raid 0;
Factory Overclocked XFX 7800 GTX 490/1300;2x Dell 24" 2405FPW;

IBM Z60M 2529GBU; Pentium M 2Mhz; 100GB HD; 1G Ram;
AtI x600 1680x1050

Lenovo has already introduced the Z61 with a core duo processor, unfortunately, its color is Titanium rather than black.
X40 P1.5G, 1GB, 40GB 1.8 HDD + 100GB 7200 rpm HDD in the Dock, DVD Burner. (Looking forward to changing the 1.8 HDD to a SSD when price is acceptable)

Is any of new models (Z61, R60) going to have IPS (FlexView) displays ?

Greetings,

Edit: Sorry the Z61 is not flexiview. I am not sure about the R60.

Sorry, my mistake.

the z61t/m/e is NOT flexview. There is no mention of IPS/flexview in the new models which are now in the tabook.

Hmm availability doesn't seem to be very good :?

I just checked Lenovo's website and only one Z61m model can be ordered. If there's one thing I don't like about Lenovo, its that initial availability is generally not there.

Indeed, and if I choose white instead of black, I get a $150 discount.
Has Lenovo any plans about this, as well?
