R40 Temp

#1 Post by dsigma6 » Wed May 17, 2006 9:34 pm

I've been reading up on temperatures from different models. My R40 is idling between 60-65C. I did read that the max temp is 100, so that doesn't seem bad. But considering a lot of other laptops would be running on the hot end at 60C, I can't say.

I started using SpeedFan, but am not sure what I'm getting out of it. Let me know your temps.

im wondering are people posting temps soon after turning on, or after its been on a while?

the fact that my 2ghz is mostly running at 1.2ghz, i dont see why it would be warmer than any other lesser speed.

My temps were after a couple of hours. However the usage during that time wasn't particularly intensive (browsing etc).

It could be that the Celeron chips work hotter than the M chips
