Ultrabay Options?

#1 Post by JaredMcDonley » Thu May 18, 2006 10:02 am

I just got the z60t and I am currently looking into some ultrabay options. I see somestuff going on ebay for really cheap. I kinda know about the different systems drive bays, but they all look the same to me-ultrabay, ultrabay slim (I guess what I have), ultrabay 2000?.

For the z60t, I never see it listed as a compatible computer for any drives or other parts. Here is one of the things I am looking at:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi ... %3AIT&rd=1
or if possible, the even older version. I would really like to find it for less than 35

Does all it need to be is ultrabay slim or what else do I need to know?

Yes, that will fit in your Z60T.

Anything that fits in the T4X series bay will fit your machine as well.

The reason you don't usually see the Z60T in a compatibility list is probably because it is too new.

Good price on the adaptor, but he's making it up on the shipping!

Currently have a T-23 with Ultra bay. Will any of my UB components work in the Z60m?

The only drives that will fit in the Z60t is the UltraBay Slim drives, the Z60m can also take Ultrabay Enhanced drives but the T23 uses Ultrabay 2000 drives which will not fit in any of the Z series
