Z60M Temperature
The other day, I was editing in Adobe premiere. My mobilemeter indicated a temperature of 81° Celsius
is this normal?
if not what can I do about it?

I'd be a little concerned at that temp. I use mine outside a lot, and I worried when it would be in the sun for a while. Mobmeter has never shown the CPU or HDD near 40c, nevermind 80.
First I'd check the power settings. You rarely need Max performance, Stepping will handle it, so just leave it at ThinkPad Default. If still no luck, blow the machine out and make sure you don't have anything covering the back air vent. If that's fine, there are fan control programs out there. You can also send it to be repaired.

i dont know if that helps but for refrence from mine
45c after startup
52c-60c normal work
80c during gfx intensive apps (games).
make sure the rear left corner is not blocked (both back and lef thave air vents)
make sure that the computer is raised a little and that the venting holes in the bottom are not covered.
hope it helps.

Re: Z60M Temperature
That's normal for the processor type and the graphics intensive app you were using. In terms of temperature, just make sure that the ambient temperature is pleasant and that vents are not blocked or covered. The maximum processor core temperature of a properly cooled/ventilated Pentium M is 100 C. If you are getting around 80 C in games and graphics apps that's normal for this processor type.el chupanebrai wrote:The other day, I was editing in Adobe premiere.
