Will DDR2 PC2-4200 533Mhz RAmwork in my R40 2683/48U?

probably an annoying question but I am brand new to the Laptop game.

Not a chance.

PC2100 & PC2700, no problem.
PC3200, probably.

All are very cheap now and some may be available via marketplace on this forum. Good luck.
