Don't know about the A series. I have a R32, which I have changed the HD several times, and it is as simple as unscrewing four screws and sliding it out.

New drive

If you are doing a "clean load" it's pretty simple. You pull all the data from the old drive. Put in the new one. Hit F12 when the machine turns on and set CD-ROM as temporary boot device (with your OS disk in the drive of course), and go from there.

You can also use cloning software like Acronis True Image and put your new drive in an Ultrabay HDD Adapter and copy your old drive over. Swap out the drives and you're done.

I've done several A2x machines and they are pretty straightforward, just like the Ts.

Good luck. :)

the data does not concern me, for it is in 4200rpm format and would bottelneck the raw l33t hotness 7200rpm speed of my new drive.
