Frustrating Problem - R51 USB issues

Hello all,

I am having seriously annoying issues with my USB mouse, and anything that's USB to be honest.

i have XP Pro, SP2 and all updates installed.

My mouse worked this morning, no problem for about an hour. Then i get a message stating that a USB device has malfunctioned, and my mouse dies.

If i plug a self powered USB device in, it freezes my system altogether, and i have to press the button to switch it off.

I have tried everything, i'm at a loss.

Any help greatly appreciated!
