Hi all.
I have an IBM R50e and have installed for almost three months an extra memory module (Kingston 1GB). Although I cannot recall its speed and type, I am certain it is compatible with the factory-memory module (512MB) and my type of computer.
Here's the deal:
IBM Memory Test (On boot I press the Rescue IBM > Memory Test) succeeds on socket 1 (obviously the 512MB module) but FAILS on socket 2 (1GB module).
Is there something wrong or it is just that MemTest Utility cannot test a module from a different vendor?
