R52 vs. Aero Glass

#1 Post by teeravee » Tue Jul 11, 2006 1:00 pm

I'm using IBM ThinkPad R52 1860-AD3. After I've finished install Windows Vista Beta 2, I cannot enable Aero Glass. I'm not sure I need to install something before I can enable it. If anyone know how to enable Aero Glass in R52, Please let me and others who use this model know.

Thank you,

You cannot enable it - the Intel 900 graphics card is not WDDM compliant so will not support the vista bells and whistles.

Hmm, too bad, as I pointed out in the other thread, the R51e's ATI X200 is actually capable of running Aero Glass, and the Intel 900 is faster than the X200.

Of course, after using Aero Glass for 5 seconds, I switched to the Windows classic (Windows 2000) interface.
