Hello,

Can the Z60m's processor be upgraded to the Core Duo processor?

No, You need a different chipset, which can be found on z61 series.

So the only way for me to do it is to buy a z61 motherboard?

I think buying a z61 would be easier and cheaper if you sell your current z60.

Alright, thanks. I am fine with the z60m, just thought if the upgrade was simple, might as well do it...

Centrino 2.0 is a powerful and quite new processor my advice use your Z60M for another year after that replace it with any of the upcoming Thinkpad series T-R-Z-X 62 model.
