Z60M 2529-EAU + Installing Bluetooth

#1 Post by mbruno » Sat Aug 05, 2006 6:12 pm

Greetings everyone,

This is my first post in this forum and I kind of stumble upon it via google when I had a problem with my thinkpad. I got to say you have saved my bacon that day. So here is my question, I recently formatted my hard drive without using IBM's or now Lenovo rescue and recovery disk an I have everything installed except the blue Tooth portion. How do I install the blue tooth if it is not listed as a missing componet via the device manager? I have tried to go to Lenovo's website and the only thing they have is the upgrade drivers so that makes me believe that there is another driver out there! I have run add new hardware but I find nothing. any help would be appreaticated, thanks again. Oh, by the way I have also used the update utility from Lenovo and it finds nothing as well.

You might want to bookmark this then:

You can get to that Bluetooth software link you provided right from that page (just click on Bluetooth).

That's just the normal Software and Device Drivers page - all thinkpads have a page like that. I'm not sure how I could live without it. :D

BTW, I haven't received my Z60m yet, but that link is already saved in my Z60m folder.

Not that I know of.

IBM just uses the widcomm drivers - if that's what your dongle uses, then that's basically the same thing. Widcomm's drivers are the best for Bluetooth.
