Problems with charging a 6600 mAh battery on an A20m

#1 Post by Polarbear_001 » Wed Aug 09, 2006 1:52 am

hi ladies and gents,

i just recently bought a new battery for my A20m to replace the old one (a 3600 mAh). It is the same type (02K6616, 10,8V Li-Ion) only hast 6600 mAh.
Unfortunately it is not loading by the TP (the old one still is). I also upgraded to the latest BIOS but that did not help.

Does anyone have any suggestion how to solve this?

Thanks.

What do you mean not loading?

The TP identifies the battery as IBM Li Ion etc but it does not charge the battery. could it be that it is too strong (6,6 A vs 3,6 Ah)??

Thanks
