Just placed an order at IBM - now come the dumb questions...

I pulled the trigger a couple of days ago on one of the IBM Outlet 2531MTU's. Seems like an incredible deal for the money. Even with coupon codes, I couldn't config a Dell to come close.

Its been 3 days and my order status still shows "In Process" with a ship date of 8/29.

My question is - will that status change as the order progresses or is my next status - "Shipped"?

I've gotten a confirmation email that the order was received but it was full of caveats that the item might not be in stock and if you you are SOL etc.

I guess I'm just curious if I should be looking for another email - that my credit card was approved, etc.

I ordered the same laptop and was given a ship date of 17Aug06. By the time I received the 'your order has shipped' email the Z60 was at my door 06Aug06. In a separate post another user had the same shipping experience with Lenovo. In short, unless stock as waned your next message will be a shipping notification.

On a separate note how is Lincoln? I grew up in Omaha, nice area.
