A22m network adapter

#1 Post by rhz » Sun Aug 20, 2006 2:31 am

Hi,

I recently bought a used A22m 2628-R1U running windows XP and using a wifi card. We would now like to connect this notebook to the internet via an ethernet cable. The problem is that, while there is certainly an ethernet port on the back of the machine, it seems that there is no ethernet network card. No such network adapter appears under the device manager. Is this possible? Was this computer originally sold without a ethernet network card?
What should I do?

Thanks,

RHZ

Correct, your A22M shipped with a modem only, not a combination Ethernet/Modem card.

Get a mini-PCI combo card on eBay and you'll be up and running on wired ethernet in no time.
