Touchpad scroll gets "stuck" on Z60m

#1 Post by paulisme » Sat Sep 02, 2006 8:22 pm

Every so often when I'm using the scroll area of the touchpad of my Z60m, the scrolling gets "stuck" so that even when I take my finger off the touchpad, the window keeps scrolling. This is exremely annoying, especially in Firefox; I use the Ctrl+L keyboard shortcut to move focus to the address bar, and hitting the Ctrl key when the scroll is in its stuck state causes the text size in Firefox to increase or decrease (Ctrl+scroll wheel resizes the text in Firefox). Is anyone here aware of a remedy for this problem?

Actually I think I may have fixed this problem. I changed the sensitivity options for the touchpad so it'd be less sensitive, and I haven't been able to reproduce the problem.

Glad to see you found a 'fix'.

Other than that issue, what is your opinion of the z60m? I have one on order and can't wait to get it.

I like it a lot. I actually own two of them; I had to purchase a second one when my wife took over the first one :) The Z60m replaced an HP laptop with a broken power connector. As long as Lenovo keeps making quality Thinkpads like this one, I don't see myself buying another brand of laptop in the future.
