Hello everyone, this is my first post on this forum.
I'm wondering if someone can advise me on the following?
I have a ThinkPad G40 and at the weekend it was left on battery power as the charge was unplugged. It now has a very dim screen although it is fine on the CRT that I've plugged into it. I've tried all the reset's that I'm aware of including taking out the clock battery and holding down the power button for more than 90 secs. I've also been into the BIOS settings to increase the brightness but this makes no difference.
I'm unsure what to try next (apart from putting it in the fridge as I read on another forum) It is still under warranty but I don't want to send it back unnecessarily if it is something silly that I'm missing.
Hope someone can help me out?
JR.
