Rescue & Recovery Ultra

:) Hello, This is my first encounter with this site.. It is a pleasure to meet you and I want to do things right!

I have had my Think Pad for a couple of years now but I have just been getting up to speed with RRU. (Not my first computer though, I got my first IBM when I retired in 1983 - no Hard drives then and floppies were really floppy!)

I an using a USB Hard Drive for Backup which I just changed from 40G to 160G. The original drive was X: the new drive I called Y:. (I just changed the drive within the USB case.) Both drives work fine and the change-over worked well except for RRU. RRU worked well before I changed the drive.

My problem is that now after going through the motions of starting RRU I immediately get a message "Backup did not complete successfully" or words to that effect. As far as I can see it didn't even start!

I did change the Drive back to the original hardware and called it X: but that wouldn't work either. I have returned to the 160G Y:.

I would be interested to hear any angles on this, providing I can discover where to look for answers.

PS What is BBCode?

 I think I am talking to myself but in my original message I forgot to mention the RRU version. It's Version 4.0 !!
