Wifi and bluetooth upgrade

#1 Post by mgiammarco » Mon Aug 30, 2004 3:07 am

Hello,
I can buy two A31p:

- 2653R3U with modem (CDC) and ethernet (CDC)
- 2653N3U with modem (CDC) and ethernet (CDC)

Which is better?

Can I upgrade them with wi-fi and bluetooth (I mean CDC or mini-PCI to use internal antenna)?

Can I upgrade to gigabit ethernet?

Thank you very much in advance for your replies!!

The only diff I see is that the "2653R3U" has a faster CPU and thats about it, in the end it's your choice
Hope this help ya

ps

With regards to WiFi & Blututh, I cant see If any of these TP's have an USB slot (I'd presume so) failing that, you'd have to use the PCMCIA for this......and as for specific brand name ethernet that may come on a trial and error basis!!!!!!

UPDATE - PLEASE NOTE:
ANY WiFi DEVICE AND ANY BLUTUTH DEVICE WILL WORK ON AN IBM LAPTOP ****** JUST MAKE SURE YOU DISABLE THE BUILT-IN NIC (IN OS SETTINGS MENU) BEFORE YOU PROCEED OR YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO ACTIVATE ANY EXTERNAL WiFI/BLUTUTH DEVICES****
