Thinkvantage Password Manager Problems
Thinkvantage Password Manager Problems
Using Thinkvantage Password Manager I always get error messages that cause IE7 (or IE6) to shutdown.
The following add-on was running when this problem occured:
Add-on name: tvtpwm_ie_com.dll
Company name: Lenovo (United States) Inc.
Description: Password Manager IE Hook Browser Object
Sending a report to Microsoft doesn't do any good.
Anyone else having problems?

Here is my fix, disable Thinkvantage password manager and use Robo Forms instead. No more errors . . .

Re: Thinkvantage Password Manager Problems
I bought a new Lenovo 3000 N100 Series last week and have been bugged by the same problem since then. Not much support from lenovo. After much research, it looks as if the third party fingerprint recognition software (in my case Omnipass) does not synchronise with the Thinkvantage Manager. lenovo seems to recommend to download the Thinkvantage fingerprint recognition software instead...I have not tried that but seems that might help. The other work around is to
Tools...manage addons....Disable/enable add ons...disable the following addons
CPwmIEBrowserHelper Object (Type Browser Helper Object) file tvtpwm_ie_com.dll
ThinkVantage Password Manager type Browser Extension
This seems to be working good for now!!
